How committed is Colorado School of Mines to pursuing energy efficiency?
In fall 2008, CSM students including mechanical engineering major John McGee replaced 1,653 incandescent bulbs with energy-efficient LEDs to illuminate the school’s century-old “M” (which stands for Mines) on Mount Zion, overlooking the campus. Student members of the Blue Key International Honor Society raised more than $30,000 to fund the project.
